Firstly, condolences to anyone reading this who has lost someone to the Covid 19 virus in recent weeks.
Secondly, thank you to everyone in the healthcare system for your continued work and to those in shops who have kept daily life on an even keel.
The last few weeks have been a difficult time for most people having to struggle to get through daily life under lockdown. Here in France there have been a number of restrictions including not being allowed on the beaches or in our local forest, and outings have been restricted to solitary, 1km walks, around the local lanes. Social distancing has been strictly enforced by the local Gendarmerie, a local potter friend of mine was fined for rowing on the local lake!
This restriction has kept me at home a lot more and I have been quite busy in the pottery. I have been practicing throwing larger pieces and lids which are quite reasonable storage jars.
I also have a range of new fired pots awaiting glazing
And here are some finished pieces, I tried out a new technique using slip and stencils for the cutlery jars and jug.
I will now need to get more glaze in and begin work on glazing all those other pieces.
Stay well.
Peter, your work is getting better and better. Your pieces really are lovely and l am sure will be snapped up! I’m loving all your work!
Hi Pete, yes excellent work. These pieces do show that you are coming on well and I hope that is matched with sales! Will have to come prepared with cash next time i visit!
