It seems my resolution to keep my ceramics website up to date didn’t go so well! I have to admit that I would always rather be potting than writing. I never think ‘that’s interesting, I’ll write a blog post’: I think ‘that’s interesting, I’ll throw another one of those…’
So my apologies to anyone who likes to know more about my work and how it is going. Despite the lack of information on here, many, many pots, mugs, vases, platters and jugs have been thrown. And sold. I can’t tell you how thrilled I have been at the success I have had in the last 18 months. It partly explains why the website has been neglected. I am making more, and finding new outlets for my work.
I’ve now got my ceramics in two shops, including Framlingham Bookshop, where trade has been brisk. I attend craft fairs in Suffolk and Norfolk and Christmas 2024 was great fun as I attended fairs in Earl Soham, Harleston, Stradbroke and Kettleburgh. By the beginning of 2025, I was taking commissions and low on shop stock, so now I am working the kiln gods hard and making sure the summer season offers lots of new pieces for customers to enjoy.
I’m also giving the website a bit of a revamp to make it more welcoming. Let me know what you think in the comments, and if there is anything you would like to hear more about then just let me know.
And thank you!
