Painting and Platters

An exciting week, as I joined several of my fellow artists at La Boutique des Createurs for a couple of days decorating and a shop refit. Thank you to all who took part and for their patience with my improving French.

New shelving has been put up, and a new chic colour scheme, of grey and white, has been lovingly applied to all the walls.

Shop refit

My own shelving has had a bit of a change around and I hope I have used the space to good effect. (Bottom shelf still needs a bit of work!)

I have also been experimenting with large platters, based on pewter serving dishes left in our house by the previous owners. I hope that the use of some local vegetation, enhanced by oxides will bring these to life. Let’s hope all goes well with the glazing and firings…

Platters

I am looking forward to getting classes and workshops properly off the ground as France gets on top of Covid and the lockdown is eased.

Having spent 5 wonderful years in France I have moved to Suffolk in UK. I am looking forward to creating and sharing a new range of ceramics and pottery.
